Previously, Phil worked alongside Dow Chemical for 25 years as well as several other world-renowned businesses such as Boeing, IBM, Goldman Sachs, and The Mayo Clinic. As an operational leader for one of the largest global technical solutions groups, he helped create countless seamless audio, video, and communication systems. Phil has managed projects for multi-country media-based training, education facilities, and designed global video conferencing systems. As a consultative minded icon in the AV industry, he has trained hundreds of teams, guiding the design of standardized communication networks worldwide. Phil brings a client-centered approach as he works with the strengths inherent in each client’s AV and IT technology environments. By leveraging his relationships and developing significant accounts, Phil will bring immense value to AV-Tech Media Solutions growth.

Of all the organizations Phil has been a part of, he was impressed with the number of top-rated programmers on staff. This is a fact Bill Thrasher is extremely proud of as well. Often, AV companies will hire a subcontractor programmer to work on projects, as there are usually limited programmers on staff. After speaking with Bill Thrasher, Phil learned that 10% of the AV Tech Media Solutions team are certified programmers. “It is an astounding fact in this industry, we have six-plus top rated programmers, whereas most companies don’t even have one; they often outsource which I was always against because programming is at the heart of every installation and project, and when you hire a subcontractor, you’re giving them your intellectual property,” Phil explained.
